Carob Brownies

These Carob Brownies are proof that when you switch to a plant-based diet you do not have to give up yummy treats! They are the perfect consistency of dense, moist and ooey gooey-NESS! The honey is used as a natural sweetener while the orange zest gives a pop of flavor. Give them a try!

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • cup Carob powder medium roast
  • ½ cup oat flour ground in a blender
  • ½ cup wheat flour ½ white unbleached and ½ whole wheat
  • 1 cup Walnuts chopped

Instructions

  • Mix honey, oil, vanilla, lemon juice, soy milk powder, and zest together with hand mixer on high till creamed.
  • Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Place in greased cake pan (9×9) and bake at 350ºF. For 35-40 minutes.
  • Stores well in freezer.
