Carob Brownies

These Carob Brownies are proof that when you switch to a plant-based diet you do not have to give up yummy treats! They are the perfect consistency of dense, moist and ooey gooey-NESS! The honey is used as a natural sweetener while the orange zest gives a pop of flavor. Give them a try!
Carob Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup Honey
- 4 Tbs. Oil
- 1 Tbs. Vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. Lemon juice
- 2 Tbs. Soy milk powder
- 1 ½ tsp. Orange or Lemon zest
Dry Ingredients
- ⅔ cup Carob powder medium roast
- ½ cup oat flour ground in a blender
- ½ cup wheat flour ½ white unbleached and ½ whole wheat
- 1 cup Walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Mix honey, oil, vanilla, lemon juice, soy milk powder, and zest together with hand mixer on high till creamed.
- Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Place in greased cake pan (9×9) and bake at 350ºF. For 35-40 minutes.
- Stores well in freezer.
